200, 300 and 500-hour residential hatha yoga teacher training in India registered with Yoga Alliance, USA at yoga school Rishikesh Yog Peeth - RYS 200, 500. The primary objective of these yoga teacher training courses is to provide an understanding of yoga and its related practices from basic to advance level, in an easy and systematic way, including practice as well as theory. Whether you have knowledge of this ancient practice or you are just a beginner; here at Rishikesh Yog Peeth you will be able to develop your understanding of yoga to such an extent that you will in turn be able to teach yoga professionally. Duration of yoga teacher training programs varies from 6 to 12 weeks and course fee includes food and accommodation. Since 2010, more than 600 yoga students from approx. 100 countries have graduated from Rishikesh Yog Peeth as registered yoga teachers - RYT 200. In our first batch of 500-hour yoga teacher training course held in 2012 (Oct ~ Dec), 11 students graduated as RYT 500.

Rishikesh Yog Peeth was a transformational experience that fulfilled much more than my expectations. The 200 hour teacher's course is holistic and balanced with a particularly generous dose of spirituality and Eastern Mysticism. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to look inwards and find peace while looking good on the outside too : ) I take what they taught me with me everyday and look forward to the time when I'll return.

Really enjoyed the 'Rishikesh Yog Peeth' experience. I was looking for a strong foundation to start a path in yoga and learn how to become a great teacher and that is exactly what I found. They have an amazing vision for the future so I envy the people studying with Yog Peeth about a year from now.

  • Traveling to India to learn yoga was the right thing to do for me. My concept of "yoga" was transformed from the Western physical activity to the spiritual Indian experience.   • I attended the 200 Hour TTC June-July 2012 and I still glow every time I think about my experience at Rishikesh Yog Peeth. Sanjay and Roshan created a very comfortable environment in which to learn and grow and the other students were (and continue to be...we still keep in touch!) very supportive of one another. Learning yoga in Rishikesh is a truly unique & life changing experience. Rishikesh has been the cradle of this ancient wisdom tradition for centuries. Many great saints and numerous practitioners have spent their lives practicing and developing this wonderful science of life in these very mountains. Yoga students feel a very palpable spiritual energy and grace when they spend time in practice here.

The benefits of studying yoga in Rishikesh are so many, but the foremost reason for coming here is perhaps that everyone is here for the same reason and you instantly share a passion in common. Normally when you encounter new people there may be something in common; you are from the same town, work in the same profession, have similar hobbies, kids-house-garden and all that… but for most people here; yoga is a passion and sharing a passion creates very strong bonds. Bonds that stretch across oceans, nations, cultures, religions, age, gender and sometimes last a lifetime… That is why there are so many tear-filled goodbyes at the end of each course at Rishikesh Yog Peeth. People connected through their hearts, through their passion for yoga, who have for six weeks been tied together in a web of wordless understanding, sharing their dreams and climbing the same ladder towards the desired diploma has reached the point of separation. It is painful. Leaving the yoga tribe, a temporary spiritual family of equal minded souls in one of the most spiritual places in the world... it is not easy.

But why should one choose Rishikesh Yog Peeth when there are so many schools available? That is of course up to each individual to answer, but for me (Jenny Wickman - RYT 200 :: Graduated in May 2012) personally it turned out to be a great choice. Rishikesh Yog Peeth offers a package concept of traditional style of yoga (asanas, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and physiology), nice accomodation, excellent food and available teachers all in one peaceful place. When I decided to become a certified yoga teacher it was important for me to get a proper, international yoga certification from a registered school (RYS 200 or 500) with dedicated teachers, offering 200-hour residential yoga teacher training. I had been to Rishikesh on a holiday two years before and it somehow felt destined to return to this little town for some life changing six weeks.
